38th EFFoST International Conference 2024
The 38th EFFoST International Conference 2024 in Bruges, Belgium, brought together experts to explore the theme “Future Food Systems: Innovation Through Progress at Scientific Interfaces.”
The FunTomP and ProxIMed projects, both funded by PRIMA under Horizon 2020, hosted a joint special session showcasing groundbreaking research on sustainable food systems, functional foods, and the valorization of Mediterranean agricultural byproducts.
In addition to the session, several posters from the FunTomP team were presented, highlighting innovative work and contributions to the field. The conference was an excellent platform to exchange knowledge, foster collaboration, and drive progress toward a sustainable food future.
Bright Night 2024
On September 27, 2024, Pisa hosted the event themed “BRIGHT Women,” focusing on research promoting women’s well-being. CNR contributed with the poster “Advancements in Food Adulteration Detection Methods,” highlighting innovative solutions for food safety and quality.
15th World Processing Tomato Congress and 17th International Symposium on Processing Tomato
The FunTomP team has participated and hosted a special session at the 15th World Processing Tomato Congress and the 17th International Symposium on Processing Tomato.
COP28 UAE
The 28th session of the UN Climate Change Conference of Parties took place in the UAE. Dr. Mecit Öztop presented on sustainable food production, focusing on alternative proteins.
37th EFFoST International Conference 2023
The 37th EFFoST International Conference 2023 was hosted by the University of Valencia and the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology, focused on the theme “Sustainable Food and Industry 4.0: Towards the 2030 Agenda.” The conference aimed to address the challenges posed by the European Green Deal and the Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing the need for innovative and sustainable processes in the food sector. Topics covered included sustainable food production systems, responsible consumption, innovative food processing technologies, and the application of digital technologies in the food chain. The conference provided a platform to showcase scientific discoveries and technologies contributing to the goal of ensuring access to sufficient, safe, nutritious, and sustainable food for everyone.
Bright Night 2023
Held on September 29, 2023, in Pisa, this event celebrated European Researchers’ Night under the theme “Brilliant Researchers Impact on Growth Health and Trust in research (BRIGHT)”. Our partner, CNR, presented the poster “Innovative Approaches to Sustainable Food Processing”, showcasing advancements in food technology and sustainability.
7th International ISEKI-Food Conference
The ISEKI-Food 2023 will focus on future challenges in education on food science and technology, in research activities related to production, processing, quality and safety, packaging of foods and in societal engagements in the field. The conference is dedicated to scientists, engineers, and students from universities all around the world as well as the food industry, thus helping bridging universities, research and industry. It provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences face to face, establish business or research relations, and find global partners for future collaborations.
